Rapid growing white, tender roots - genius. Snowball is a strain reselected and refined for home garden use. A great winter vegetable for when other options are limited.

• How To Sow: Choose a well-drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds in trays for subsequent transplanting or, after frosts, sow directly in a well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds 3 cm apart, in rows 70 cm apart, and to a depth of 1 cm.
• Seedling Care: Keep seedbed evenly moist during the germination period of 7-10 days. Apply vegetable fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. • Hints & Tips: Thin seedlings to 5 cm apart once they are big enough to handle.
