The Flowclear Pool Surface Skimmer is a highly effective way of clearing debris from your above ground swimming pool. The surface skimmer simply hooks over the inside wall of your pool, near the suction inlet. Attach it to your filter pump (Fits the filter pump with 530 gal./h (2,006 L/h) flow rate and above) and watch as it starts to automatically gather debris. When the skimmer is full, it can be emptied for reuse. The adjustable mounting bracket allows it to be leveled with the surface of the water. Since the skimmer is made from corrosion–proof plastic, it is easy to clean and maintain. Recommended for all Bestway® Above Ground Pools except for the Steel Wall pool. **We just wanted to clarify how this style of Bestway skimmer is designed to operate, as it often behaves differently to what people expect from a vacuum-style cleaner.

These skimmers are not designed to create strong suction like a pool vacuum or a dedicated suction pump. Instead, they work by gently drawing in surface water, allowing leaves, insects, and floating debris to be collected over time. Because the opening at the top of the skimmer is quite wide, the suction is naturally spread out, which reduces how “strong” it feels at any one point.

In normal operation:

• The skimmer will lightly pull in floating debris, not aggressively suck it in.
• Debris is collected gradually over time, rather than immediately.
• Strong vacuum-style suction is not expected or required for the skimmer to function correctly.
