Seeds M6440 Watercress - Herbs
Nutritious sandwich filler. Watercress grows in streams ditches, springs and fast flowing waters. It has been used as a salad plant since at least Roman times. Besides being used in salads it can be put on sandwiches, used in soups and oriental stir-fry dishes.
Product Care: Germination period is between 7-10 days.
When to Sow: Sow in Spring - Summer
Where to Sow: Into a medium that is kept constantly wet for subsequent transplanting or after frosts, sow direct where to grow.

General: Cut shoots anytime for fresh greens in sandwiches and salads. Saut?? as a hot vegetable finely chopped it adds a distinctive flavour to mashed potato and white sauces.
Seed Placement: Full Sun
Where to Grow: In a water source such as a stream or pond in shade, or in a tub by placing 10-15cm of rich soil in the bottom setting the plants out in the soil and filling the tub with cold water to the tips of the shoots. If the water does not run continuously change it once a week.
Vegetable Maturity Date: This variety matures in 75 days.
How to Sow: Sow a few seeds in groups 10cm apart. Do not cover.
